I understand the way a scene is made and what it takes to make it compelling. How the dialog is supposed to sound. And why the actors are some of the most important parts of a film. The respect I have for the entire cast and crew is immense.
Where to put the camera is everything, from when it becomes interesting to when it needs to be personal. When it needs to be disconnected from the mindset of the protagonist to when it has to. How the camera moves and behaves within the environment is also very important. To put the viewer in the perspective we want them to be in is everything.
From perfect cuts to when the sound of one thing translates into another. Watching a film over and over again to perfect what needs to be perfected is one of the few assets I bring to the table.
